The Road to Improving Memory & Increasing Clarity

Do you have all the memory and clarity you want? I personally don't know of anyone who wouldn't like to improve both. Whether young students or elder folks or those in between, everyone wants more brain power!

I recently taught a stress reduction workshop at the Youth Empowerment and Leadership Conference. The audience was a group of one hundred 8th to 10th graders who were stressed because of the "expectations" and "the crazy amount of studying and preparation". They want to be able to study and know that the information will be readily available when they sit down to take the test.

Then there is the elder community "who want to keep what they have and increase clarity". They want the quality of their lives to be enhanced, not diminished.


And for those who are in the work place -- it's important to put your best foot forward and increase clarity, focus, comprehension, productivity, creativity, and vitality. When all of that is happening you will be memorable.


Here are several easy-to-do and easy-to-remember energy movements that will help you improve your memory and all the rest. You will be connecting with energy balance areas to "remind your body" to find balance and harmony. Gently hold each position (using your fingertips) for several good deep breaths.


1. Right hand - cup the back of your head with fingertips on the left base of
the skull.


Left hand - cup your forehead so fingertips are on the right side.

2. Switch hands


3. Hold base of skull, right fingertips on right side and left fingertips on
left side.


4. Right hand - hold fingers along right side of neck.


Left hand - fingers "travel" down the left side of your center line

* at top of head close to center line
* then just into hairline

* then at center of forehead

* then at inside of left eyebrow

* then at left cheekbone close to nostril

* then just below left collarbone close to sternum


For right side -- switch hands


You might recognize this flow as the one to also "clear" head pressure, headaches, sinus congestion and allergies. Well, if it can work for that, it will help create clear thought and let go of any mental confusion! Give it a try!!

Free Yourself From Allergies in Any Season


Are you one of those folks who is expecting allergies or already suffering?

Guess what? You can help your body not go to that place of stuffiness, dry eyes, itchy eyes, and head pressure


You can easily create a new pattern that allows you to actually smell the flowers and smile. So, if you haven't been doing the "sinus flow/head pressure flow", get started now. It's easy to relieve that stuffy head that feels like pressure building up.

For right side pressure --

Left hand - hold fingers at left side of neck

Right hand - fingers "travel" down the right side of your center line

* at top of head close to center line

* then just into hairline

* then at center of forehead

* then at inside of right eyebrow

* then at right cheekbone close to nostril

* then just below right collarbone close to sternum

For left side pressure -- switch hands

Antidote to Stress!

Do you have too much on your plate?
Are you feeling overwhelmed and stressed?

If you're in that space, are you noticing that your breath goes into reaction and becomes tight and constricted?

Here are a few simple ways to remind your body to breathe -- with deep inhales and complete exhales.

  1. Hold upper arms by folding arms across chest
  2. Hold left fingers at base of left ribcage & hold right fingers at left upper chest
  3. Switch hands to hold right side of body

Discover how that expansion of breath allows you to get a different perspective, maybe even allowing you to let go of any frustration you've been experiencing. Still need some assistance to discover balance and calmness in your day? Hold your right fingertips on the outside of your left wrist while you hold your left thumb over your left little finger.

Getting What You Want

Are you getting what you want? Are your desires and goals being met? Are you displaying what you want to receive?

We literally draw to us what we are showing, whether that be frustration and anxiety OR whether it be “living in a trance” OR whether it be exuding a sense of security and joy and abundance. “Showing” can be what our body posture says, what our facial expression reveals, and what our energy system manifests. Our energy needs to be in movement and we need to consistently remind our bodies to be in flow rather than to be stuck. Being stuck creates a body that is in reaction instead of creating what we want.

A really great thing to do is to consistently remind your body to be in alignment with what you want to receive – hold upper arms by folding arms across your chest and then shift your fingers so you’re holding the outside edges of your shoulder blades.

You can manifest what you want to receive by changing your perspective, by balancing your energy, by BEING what you want to have in your life, and by being in joy. You can become a magnet for all that you desire and whatever makes your life meaningful. Enjoy the experience!!

Getting Unstuck and Going Into Action

Are you paralyzed and not going in the direction you want to be going? Like getting done with the things on your list or maybe not even seeing what you really should be doing?

Avoiding Colds and Flu

Colds and flu – those germs are out there, no matter how much you want to keep away from them. To help your body defend itself against the bugs, you can easily connect with the energy balance areas that will help boost your immune system.

To “filter out the bad air”, cup your shoulder with the same side hand (right hand over right shoulder) and hold your chest on the opposite side with the other hand (left hand on left chest below collarbone). Then switch sides.

And, of course, it would be great if that energy movement could help you get results fast!

Stay Positive: Simple Breath Technique

Are you feeling positive about what’s going on in your life?

Or is there some worry or fear getting in the way and causing a sense of overwhelm or struggle?

If you’re in that space then you might notice that you are having a hard time “catching your breath”. Here are some easy energy movements to remind your body to breathe (hold each with a light gentle touch for several good breaths):

* Hold your upper arms by folding them across your chest;

* Gently cup your thumbs, one at a time; or

* Cross arms and hold the inside of your knees.

When your breath “breaks free”, so will you! You will have more vitality, things will seem easier, and you will have more confidence in your ability to take action. Negative thought won’t have a chance!
